Weight loss with medication starts with a health assessment and an individual treatment plan. Valvekliinik offers weight management in partnership with Élan Clinic. Your consultation explores whether medication may be suitable and what support you need to lose weight and maintain the result.
Who is a weight management consultation for?
You can book a consultation if you are concerned about excess weight, previous attempts have not led to lasting results, or you want to discuss medical weight management. A consultation does not automatically lead to a prescription. The doctor assesses suitability based on your health, previous treatment and possible contraindications.
How does treatment start?
Initial consultation. Weight management nurse Eva-Maria Sentifoli provides a 60-minute consultation at the clinic or online. You discuss your health, previous weight-loss attempts and goals.
Individual plan. The doctor assesses whether further tests or medication are needed. If medication is prescribed, you receive instructions and information about possible side effects.
Regular follow-up. Your wellbeing and treatment response are reviewed and the plan is adjusted when needed. Dr Ingmar Lindström supervises medication treatment throughout. Follow-up care and prescriptions are arranged through Élan Clinic.
Does weight management only involve medication?
No. Consultations also cover nutrition, physical activity and everyday habits. Medication is one possible part of your plan. The aim is to find an approach that suits you and supports long-term weight management.
Consultation price and booking
The initial consultation costs €150 and lasts 60 minutes. Medication, laboratory tests and additional investigations are charged separately. How do I renew a weight-loss prescription?
Valvekliinik does not renew prescriptions issued for weight-loss treatment. Please contact Élan Clinic directly for prescription renewals, changes to your plan or continuing care.
