During the test, inhalation and exhalation at maximum depth and speed are assessed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The test makes it possible to determine a decline in lung function, which occurs in various lung diseases. It is an important test for diagnosing and monitoring the treatment of such common diseases as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The spirometry test is carried out under the guidance of a nurse, and the results depend on correct performance and good cooperation between the patient and the nurse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A bronchodilator test is performed if the initial spirometry indicates a restriction of the airways, i.e. an obstruction.
