{"id":30563,"date":"2022-01-18T02:57:37","date_gmt":"2022-01-18T00:57:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/valvekliinik.ee\/?post_type=teenus&#038;p=30563"},"modified":"2023-09-22T14:47:33","modified_gmt":"2023-09-22T11:47:33","slug":"influenza-vaccination","status":"publish","type":"teenus","link":"https:\/\/valvekliinik.ee\/en\/service\/influenza-vaccination\/","title":{"rendered":"INFLUENZA VACCINATION"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>At Valvekliiniku we vaccinate for influenza throughout the season.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Influenza is a viral disease characterized by a sudden onset of the disease, high fever (38 \u00b0 C and above), accompanied by cough, headache, sore throat, muscle aches, or difficulty breathing. <strong>The best protection is offered if vaccination is completed in October before the season starts (October to December). <\/strong>For healthy people, the vaccination will take effect from 10-14 days after the vaccination shot is done and the effect lasts up to one year. Influenza vaccination can be done starting from the age of 6 months. If children under 9 years old are vaccinated for the first time, they need 2 shots with one month in between.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Vaccination is contraindicated:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to egg white or any of the other ingredients of this vaccine.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>during an illness with a high fever.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Vaccination is recommended for everyone, but the following risk groups should definitely consider vaccination:&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>persons from the age of 65;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>persons suffering from anaemia, chronic disease of the lungs, heart, kidneys or metabolic system (especially diabetes);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>children and adolescents with the age between 6 months to 17 years who are receiving long-term treatment with aspirin;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>people with an immune deficiency, including those receiving immunosuppressives and who are HIV-positive;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>pregnant women who will be in their second or third trimester during the peak season for influenza;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>patients in care institutions and long-term hospitalisation for chronic illnesses;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>persons at risk at work (employees of health care, care institutions, poultry farms, etc.);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>persons with the risk of spreading influenza to people in risk groups.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The vaccination price is per shot.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"template":"","class_list":["post-30563","teenus","type-teenus","status-publish","hentry"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v26.6 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<title>INFLUENZA VACCINATION - Valvekliinik<\/title>\n<meta name=\"robots\" content=\"index, follow, max-snippet:-1, max-image-preview:large, max-video-preview:-1\" \/>\n<link rel=\"canonical\" href=\"https:\/\/valvekliinik.ee\/en\/service\/influenza-vaccination\/\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:locale\" content=\"en_US\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:type\" content=\"article\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:title\" content=\"INFLUENZA VACCINATION - Valvekliinik\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:description\" content=\"At Valvekliiniku we vaccinate for influenza throughout the season.&nbsp; Influenza is a viral disease characterized by a sudden onset of the disease, high fever (38 \u00b0 C and above), accompanied by cough, headache, sore throat, muscle aches, or difficulty breathing.
