{"id":30495,"date":"2022-01-18T00:09:25","date_gmt":"2022-01-17T22:09:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/valvekliinik.ee\/?post_type=teenus&#038;p=30495"},"modified":"2025-09-22T16:08:31","modified_gmt":"2025-09-22T13:08:31","slug":"fetal-ultrasound-examinations","status":"publish","type":"teenus","link":"https:\/\/valvekliinik.ee\/en\/service\/fetal-ultrasound-examinations\/","title":{"rendered":"FETAL ULTRASOUND EXAMINATIONS"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The gynaecologists of Valvekliinik perform&nbsp;all necessary examinations during pregnancy&nbsp;depending on the stage of the pregnancy: pregnancy detection, OSCAR test, fetal anatomy or second trimester screening, fetal echocardiography, and third trimester ultrasound to assess fetal weight and circulatory parameters.&nbsp;<strong>Three ultrasound scans&nbsp;are usually performed during a normal pregnancy.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>To register the pregnancy, we recommend that you consult a gynaecologist if your pregnancy is 6-9 weeks along.<\/strong> At the first visit, we will perform a&nbsp;vaginal ultrasound to determine the size, viability and location of the pregnancy, identify the number of fetuses and assess the condition of the ovaries. In addition, it is possible to take tests from the cervix &#8211; to perform a&nbsp;PAP test&nbsp;to evaluate the cells of the cervix and to&nbsp;test for chlamydiosis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is recommended that&nbsp;blood tests be performed at 11 weeks of gestation&nbsp;to assess antibodies to various infectious diseases, blood haemoglobin, blood sugar, blood group and rhesus factor, and to perform hormonal tests for the&nbsp;OSCAR test.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>It is also possible to give a blood sample after the 10<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;week of gestation for the&nbsp;Niptify test,&nbsp;<\/strong>which is the&nbsp;most accurate and safest way to assess the risk of chromosome diseases for the fetus.&nbsp;The Niptify test also gives&nbsp;100% accurate information regarding the sex of the fetus early&nbsp;on in the pregnancy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>You are welcome to ultrasound examinations alone or with a companion.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>*The prices of ultrasound examinations are per child.
